We are delighted to announce Havwoods’ expansion to the North American market with the opening of our New York showroom during the first quarter of 2017 and are looking for a dynamic individual with industry specific knowledge to service clients in our Manhattan showroom.

Showroom Associate

Job Responsibilities:

· Facilitate appointments in the New York City showroom.
· Plan and prepare sales presentations to prospective clients.
· Scheduled and confirm showroom appointments via telephone and email.
· Close new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating quotations and preparing orders.
· Process payments as required.
· Provide assistance to the Showroom Manager and the Assistant Showroom Manager.
· Process and/or arrange the dispatch of sample requests and literature as needed.
· Manage customer issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
· Care for clients in the showroom, and qualifying their requirements.
· Advise clients on the most suitable flooring for their project.
· Report comprehensive meeting notes and action points to relevant sales staff.
· Keep showroom organized and tidy.
· Maintaining samples stocks.

Qualifications:

· Bachelors degree in business, marketing or related sales experience.
· Minimum 3 years’ solid experience in coordination of design and architectural firms.
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in the hardwood industry a must.
· Knowledge of interior design and architectural practices.
· Product knowledge of European hardwood an asset.

Senior Sales Executive

Job Responsibilities:

· Develop, implement and update the annual business and operational process plan supporting the identification and attainment of commercial line service quotas, growth and other business objectives as assigned by the sales manager.
· Responsible for forecasting commercial line sales for the month, quarter and year.
· Design and execute business strategies for commercial line services.
· Act as the liaison between the sales manager and the showroom sales associate and showroom manager to ensure constant standards of service are provided to our commercial line clients.
· Drive efficiencies and improvements and work with the showroom sales associate and showroom manager to drive the sales and support of commercial line services.
· Direct leadership of a team of approximately (3-4) people.
· Develop people to optimize effectiveness and maximize sales.
· Proactively attain and report on competitive intelligence and its impact on our strategy for winning business.
· Deploying resources to meet financial / operating objectives including revenue, contribution margin, and base cost control.
· Prepare, manage and quote projects on a timely basis.
· Manage commercial line services data to appropriately track and report to sales manager.
· Review quoted business for accuracy and coverage.
· Constantly improve and update procedures and processes to ensure excellent delivery of all commercial line flooring business.
· Manage and maintain ongoing contact with account executives and administrators to discuss any new business leads, answer ongoing issues relating to outstanding project timelines, and provide assistance whenever necessary.
· Complete random audits of commercial line documentation to ensure they are consistent and comprehensive.
· Communicate with head office departments for both contract reviews and any sales/quotes or accommodations that may be required.
· Maintain updated knowledge of commercial flooring products and offerings.
· Ability to navigate company website, pipedrive and Woodbooks in order to retrieve product information.
· Assist commercial flooring service team members in NYC as required.
· Works together efficiently with co-workers in cooperative and supportive manner.
· Ensure consistency of information entered into customer relationship management system is according to the procedures and processes.
· Follow commercial workflows and ensure files are dealt with accordingly.
· Participate and contributes to completion of tasks and projects.
· Work toward progress in attaining Havwoods strategic initiatives.
· Participates in company activities, training sessions, and planning groups.
· Participates and contributes meaningfully in meetings.
· Participates in continuing education.

Qualifications:

· Bachelors degree in business, or related field or college diploma in marketing and sales.
· 5-7 Years experience in the hardwood flooring industry.
· Must have local experience in NYC.
· 7-10 Years experience of commercial sales.
· Any combination of education and/or work experience will substitute for minimum qualifications.
· Excellent operational/service expertise combined with commercial background and demonstrated experience in driving growth ideally in the hardwood flooring industry.
· Proven experience driving process improvements.
· Must have strong verbal communication and interpersonal to synthesize complex issues and communicate into simple messages.
· Strong business management and resource optimization skills.
· Connecting with architects/designers/contractors in NY State and also the rest of Tri-State area.
· Ability to connect with the right individuals to secure immediate sales.
· Demonstrated experience and success with creating and executing strategic business plans and establishing executive relationships.
· Strong communication and computing skills required specifically in the use of Microsoft Office Suite consisting of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
· A solid understanding of current market dynamics and architectural/real estate trends.
· Previous experience managing and leading a team.
· Strong executive presence, relationship building ability.
